BYOB Book Drive - Los Angeles

Do you care about literacy? Do you like to party with other booknerds? Do both with Book Riot and the Harry Potter Alliance! As a kick-off to the Accio Books campaign and in honor of World Book Night, we’re throwing events in three cities on April 23 to collect books for literacy charities, feature some of our favorite bookish people, and generally geek out.

Join us at The Last Bookstore from 7pm - 9pm. Admission: one new or gently-used book to donate (more than one welcome!). Our special guests will be competing for the crown (literally, there will be a crown) in the First Lines Game Show. Contestants include author Sara Benincasa, Mark Oshiro of Mark Does Stuff, and author Rachel Shukert! All books collected will be donated to the Los Angeles Public Library.

Prizes generously provided by Macmillan Teen, Fierce Reads, SwoonReads, and Rainbow Rowell.
