Event Description

Join Naturalist Educator Stephen Bucklin for a hike to learn about the variety of ways that insects use auditory signals to communicate with each other, and begin to identify the instruments within the insect orchestra performing near you.

Registration is required. While this is an all-ages event, it is intended for teenagers and adults. We recommend teenagers attend with a friend, parent, or guardian.

This hike is rain or shine. Weather-appropriate clothes and footwear with good tread are encouraged. Participants should expect to walk between one and two miles at a leisurely pace. Hike will meet at the Frick Environmental Center.

The nearest bus stop is the 61A or 61B at Forbes and Dallas - From the bus stop to the Environmental Center involves an uphill and a stretch with no sidewalk.
