HOW TO GET TO THE RACE

Please Note: Music Concourse Garages (Golden Gate Park) will NOT be available on race day. Shuttles Have Been Arranged At Various Locations To Assist With Getting To / From The Event.

The Hot Chocolate Run is offering (4) convenient shuttle options on race day. Your shuttle ticket does not include parking at these locations. San Francisco State does have a designated parking location that has been arranged by the event. A separate parking pass will need to be purchased for that location. For other downtown shuttle locations you will need to park in available city parking lots.

All routes have finite capacity and may sell out, purchase your shuttle pass now to guarantee race transportation. All shuttle options are round-trip service. Tickets are available to purchase Online Only during Expo dates but the costs will increase. Lock in your round-trip transportation today at the lower rate. There will be no sales onsite on race day.

Notice for all runners driving to the race:  We recommend you use the San Francisco State Parking Lot.  As most of you know the parking at Golden Gate Park is extremely limited and use of the San Francisco State lot will be the best way to get to the race on time.  There is limited capacity at this lot, so purchase your parking and shuttle passes now.

PLEASE MAKE SURE TO PRINT YOUR PASSES, Charges on your credit card will show up as "Transportation" (OnTrack Event Management).

San Francisco State Shuttle

San Francisco State Parking Garage is located at State Drive and Lake Merced Blvd. Please note each car will need to purchase a parking pass, and in addition each rider will need to purchase a shuttle pass as well.  

Each person needs a shuttle pass to get on the bus. Parking pass is good for parking only!  SF State Parking Directions

Union Square Shuttle

Shuttles will be available from Union Square, picking up on Post St. adjacent to the Westin St. Francis. This is an ideal option for all runners and spectators staying at Union Square hotels. Parking not included with this option. 

South Bay / Peninsula Shuttle (Millbrae Park and Ride)

Shuttles will be available from Millbrae Park and Ride. Parking is free at Millbrae Park & Ride station on Sundays. Millbrae park and ride location. 

East Bay Shuttle: (Emeryville Park and Ride)

Shuttles are available from Emeryville. The pickup will be at the Amtrak Station. Pick-up Location. Please note, your Shuttle Ticket does not include parking at the Train Station parking lot, parking is separate and not included. 

IMPORTANT SHUTTLE TIME INFORMATION

ALL SHUTTLE TICKETS ARE ROUND-TRIP

PLEASE ALLOW FOR 1.25 HOURS OF TRAVEL TIME PRIOR TO YOUR START TIME

SHUTTLES WILL BEGIN AT 5:30 AM FROM EACH LOCATION. LAST SHUTTLE TO THE START LINE WILL BE AT 7:00AM.

SHUTTLES WILL START RETURN TRANFERS FROM GOLDEN GATE PARK AT 9:30AM AND WILL RUN CONTINUOUS UNTIL 11:30AM. LAST SHUTTLE WILL BE AT 11:30AM. 

PLEASE MAKE SURE TO PRINT YOUR PASSES THEY WILL BE CHECKED AT EACH OF THE SHUTTLE LOCATIONS.
