Hike with a Naturalist: Owl Prowl
- Reserve
- Details
Winter nights full of snow can be some of the most silent, peaceful, and beautiful moments outdoors, but as we enter the last part of winter, that silence is often broken by the hooting of secretive forest dwellers. Owls are supremely adapted for survival, but these skills take time to learn, requiring them to be the early-birds to nesting season. Join Naturalist Educator Stephen Bucklin on a dusk-to-dark hike through Frick Park in search of owls while learning more about these charismatic animals who call Pittsburgh home.
Registration is required for this event.
This is an all-ages event. Children should be accompanied by an adult.
This hike is rain or shine. Weather-appropriate clothes and footwear with good tread are encouraged.
