Event Description

Enjoy beer or wine and insightful fun with fellow nature lovers at one of the greenest buildings on earth!

Drink and mingle, listen to live music, and learn outdoors (or under a covered space, if raining) on the second Friday of each month during these 21+ events.

September’s Sustainable Sipping is focused on gardens, harvesting and preservation. Cindy Javor, Master Food Preserver will discuss ways to preserve safe, high quality foods using guidelines from the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture and Penn State University Extension.

There will be a special pre-event tour of our From Slavery to Freedom garden led by Sam Black of the Heinz History Center at 6:00pm. Attendees can get a sneak peek of what we are harvesting at the Environmental Center - then savor the tastes of the same vegetables at the buffet Jackie Kennedy Catering has thoughtfully developed and prepared for this event.

Come join us on for a late summer evening of short educational presentations, wine tasting, recipes, folk-grass music from Del Ferros acoustic duo, and more.

Ticket price includes two drink tickets and light refreshments.
